Overview
YAAH completed a pilot web-based survey of youth experiencing homelessness (YEH) in Alameda and San Francisco Counties. Our findings regarding how the pandemic affected YEH’s trajectory to adulthood was released in a community report in May 2023. The survey pilot served as a model for conducting community-based surveys of YEH, particularly for those youth not engaged in service-based organizations (link to projects page). We are in the progress of publishing 2 papers regarding the survey results and the methods’ feasibility. Below is our community report, which summarizes key findings. We encourage you to share the report in your networks widely! The COVID-19 Youth Impact Survey was funded by the UCLA Life Course Intervention Research Network and the UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Institute.
