Official Launch of the COVID-19 Community Report

May 26, 2023

Greetings fellow advocates for youth experiencing homelessness,

Thank you to all of you who were able to attend our launch event last week for our report, "Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Youth Experiencing Homelessness." We appreciated the turnout and the support for our YAAH team's work.
The report  (attached) is visually stunning and summarizes in an engaging way the results of an online survey of 182 youth experiencing homelessness in Alameda and San Francisco Counties conducted by Youth and Allies Against Homelessness during the pandemic. The findings poignantly depict the impact of the pandemic on youth’s ability to successfully transition to adulthood, and the harms they experienced to their education, income, housing, social networks, and wellbeing. The report concludes with recommendations for policy changes we can implement to address the needs of youth who have been harmed and to protect youth experiencing homelessness from future harms.

Here is a link to report as well. With the pdf, link and QR code for our report, we hope you can help us disseminate the report to help us amplify our message to your networks. If you click on the envelope image on the last page of the pdf, it will generate an email for you to send (super easy).
